Payroll Specialist

Location: Remote (Local to South Florida Preferred)
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (part time equivalent)

We're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for New York-based employees in a part time, fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who values flexibility while still taking ownership of complex, compliance driven payroll processing.

While the position is remote, candidates local to South Florida are strongly preferred for occasional in person collaboration if needed.

• Process and manage New York payroll accurately and on time
• Ensure full compliance with New York state and local payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements
• Handle payroll calculations, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Support audits, filings, and payroll reporting as needed
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance

• Proven experience processing New York payroll (required)
• Strong knowledge of NY payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Prior experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
• Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment
• South Florida-based candidates strongly preferred
