Program Manager II â?? GI/HPM Fellowship 

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Manager to oversee the operational and financial management of our Gastroenterology and Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship Programs. Will partner closely with Program Directors, this role ensures compliance with accreditation standards, supports trainee success, and manages all aspects of program administration.

  •      Schedule: hybrid, Full-time, M-F day hours
  •      Location: St. Joseph or Valleywise Health.                

The Program Manager is responsible for the operational and financial management of Gastroenterology/Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship training programs. In collaboration with Program Directors and reporting to the GME Supervisor, the position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of fellowship training programs and support Program Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with ACGME, institutional, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate trainee recruitment, onboarding, orientation, evaluations, scheduling, and graduation activities.
  • Maintain program databases, records, websites, and communications.
  • Oversee ERAS, NRMP Match processes, credentialing, licensing, contracts, and visa-related documentation.
  • Organize conferences, meetings, educational events, and recruitment activities.
  • Monitor budgets, process purchases and payments, and assist with annual financial planning.
  • Support accreditation reviews, site visits, and program quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a key liaison among trainees, faculty, hospital departments, and external partners.

 

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of administrative experience in healthcare, medical education, or higher education.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with residency management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of graduate medical education and accreditation processes preferred.
